I did my practice this morning without my eyes. I have a bit of a sinus headache, and didn't feel like putting my contacts in so early, and I find asana with glasses on weird and uncomfortable, so I practiced blind. We rely upon and are so easily distracted by our visual sense. I found my practice this morning to be more internalized, quieter, allowing me to be more attuned to the subtle aspects. It was an oddly tangible experience of how pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses) is a crucial step as we look to quiet the mind.
