radical, individual wellness

According to Ayurveda we see each person as both a unique expression of Source and as an integral part of the Macrocosm. The healing approach we offer will be one that is committed to seeing and serving you as an individual, and meeting you where you are on your healing journey.

We are committed to continue to learn and live into practices of inclusivity with respect to race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, and socio-economic background. We understand access to healing and wellness work to be integral to the goals of social justice.

about sliding fee scale

It is my privilege and honor to have had access to the master teachers I have studied with and the teachings I have received. As a result I am compelled to share these teachings and make them accessible in many ways.

A sliding fee scale, sometimes called “indexed tuition” or “flexible tuition”, is a model that allows students and clients to pay an equitable amount relative to their income and other financial resources. This is a new way of looking at cost and affordability for many of us, so I’ll encourage you to take the time to read through this whole page as you decide what is accessible and aligns with your resources. This model is supported by the AWC Community Care Fund.

defining sliding fee scale levels

the full, non-discounted price of the service
The full price is for those with access to financial security. How do we define that? Those of us who have steady income, personal savings, and discretionary budget. While price is certainly a consideration in your spending, you are generally able to plan and save for your needs and wants.

the middle price
The middle price is for those of us who are able to meet our basic needs but have little discretionary income. Paying for this service may qualify as a sacrifice for you, but it would not create hardship. At this tier you need to make strategic decisions regarding what you will and won’t spend your resources on.

the minimum price
The minimum price is for those of us for whom paying full or middle price for this service is not feasible. You may have irregular work, be newly employed, be a recent graduate, or need to seek outside support and funding.

group class sliding fee scale:

The tuition for group classes at the Ayurvedic Wellness Center is also available on a sliding fee scale. What follows are the sliding fee scale prices for weekly group classes.

the full, non-discounted price of the class $20

the middle price $15

the minimum price $10

clinical ayurveda sliding fee scale:

I (Kara) am currently offering Initial Consultation Packages via a sliding fee scale. Please inquire for current pricing.

If you have questions or need support in navigating this approach, please don’t hesitate to ask. Sometimes it’s helpful to have assistance navigating a new model. We’re learning with you. Thank you for the opportunity.

community care fund

In 2021, the Ayurvedic Wellness Center started a Community Care Fund (CCF) to support access to Ayurvedic services for clients who are in financial need. The Community Care Fund allows those in our community who, at any given time, have adequate financial means to support the healing journey of someone who otherwise would not have access to these practices.

There are two ways you can contribute

  1. Any gratuities for Kara Aubin will be paid directly into the CCF.

  2. You may chose to make a donation at any time.  You can add this donation to your retail purchase, or donate directly.

If you would like to utilize Community Care Fund resources to support your healing journey, please email us to schedule.

The AWC thanks you for your community care!
